Since the last refill, no activity has been monitored at the feeder.
It's pretty hot outside right now with temperatures up to 35 °C. Perhaps the increased temperature of last week is giving cause why squirrels are not grabbing nuts from the feeder anymore? This behavior would indicate some kind of temperature dependency in the eating habits of squirrels.
On the other side in the truest sense of the word, a beech nut tree has heaps of fresh nuts to offer and maybe this is the kind of food preferred by our squirrels right now?
I'm clueless right now, I do hope this is not caused by an undetected software glitch.
